Community Table is one of the ways we live out our call to reach outward and care for our neighbors.
At the heart of this ministry is a simple belief we take seriously: caring for people matters. Sharing a meal is one way we answer that call.
What began in 2013 with a few church member teams grew into a shared effort involving churches and community organizations across the Radford area. For years, home-cooked meals were served every Saturday, all year long, around tables with real conversation, real connection, and a sense of belonging.
Today, Community Table continues that ministry through weekly take-out meals prepared fresh each Saturday at Unity. Meals are available for anyone who stops by, and we also deliver to homebound church members and local organizations serving people with food needs.
We are grateful to partner with Grove United Methodist Church, St. Jude Catholic Church, The Inn at Virginia Tech, the Kiwanis Club, and members of our broader community. Together, these partners help make this ministry possible week after week. As this ministry continues to grow, we remain hopeful about expanding our reach and one day returning to the shared dining room experience that meant so much to so many.
